To those who donated towards the needy family

Hi, Will everyone who donated towards the local family in my area please email me? I lost all the names and addresses and still need to do my drawing for the jewelry and send out the bracelets. Please email me at christy22_78752@yahoo.com I also have a thank you note from the kids that I would like to scan and email to you.

Thanks again for your wonderful support of them. Update on the family is as follows...
Mom is still working at McDonalds and is working 10 hours a week babysitting and cleaning a local family's home (she does this one day a week). She is able to pay her own bills now and even bought a used car. Her car needs work, but it gets her where she needs to go and she is grateful for it. The kids are all doing great! Her husband is in the process of being her ex husband now and they had a court date the middle of February and he was ordered to pay $580.00/mth in child support. So, that will cover her rent and her car insurance. She is very grateful and thankful to those of you who gave her children a Christmas, she tells me every time I see her that without all of you her children would have had nothing at all for Christmas. (the gifts that were sent and the money donated that bought them presents were all the gifts they received for Christmas) So, please email me your information so that I can get everything together. Thanks!!

Needy Family/ Vlad & Ivanna update

Thanks to all the people who donated the family was able to have a wonderful Christmas and I was able to give her a money order for $75.00 towards her rent, she didn't have all of the rest of it but I believe her landlord has given her a few more days to come up with the other $98.00. Thankfully I received a check for $35.00 just the other day and it brought the money order amount up to $75.00. A HUGE thank you to all who donated to this wonderful family!!

I will be doing my little drawing here shortly and will also be sending out the friendship bracelets as well in the next few days.

I am also very happy to see that Vlad & Ivanna BOTH have a new committed family. I am very happy about this because I have worried about them daily since we had to let them go. So, Thank God for that!!!

Adoption Update

Though it pains me greatly to post this, it must be done. Recently Kevin and I found out that I am pregnant. Though we are beyond happy with this news, we are also scared since I have had so many losses. What this does mean however, is that our adoption plans have to be put on hold for a very long time. Per my Ob/Gyn and my specialists I am unable to travel due to my medications and injections I am on. That especially rules out overseas travel. My chance of death and the baby's chances of death are very high if I go somewhere where I cannot get proper medical treatment immediately. Though we still plan on adopting, we will have to wait for quite a while before being able to do so. What does this mean for the kids? It means they will be transferred. Kevin and I have made a very hard decision that we have to release them so that another family or other families may step forward to adopt them to keep them from an institution. If they are still available when we get everything together again and I have a medical release, they will be the children we bring home. If they are not available, there are many more children with DS there that need homes. Please keep these 2 little ones in your prayers as they will need it where they are. Please pray that God watches over them and keeps them safe and that another family will step forward and bring them home where they deserve to be. We are keeping this blog up because when we restart our adoption process, we are keeping this blog title. Our new blog if you would like to follow is http://dailynewsofus.blogspot.com/ Our baby is due July 10,2009 which means I am 12 wks today. Please also keep my unborn baby in your prayers as well because it's siblings never made it into this world breathing. The ob & periontologist seem to think things will be better this time, but we need all the prayers we can get. So, please pray for Vlad & Ivanna and pray for our unborn child.

My Friend Kristy

Well, I needed to post this a couple of days ago but didn't want to mix it with my local family post but here goes.

My friend Kristy and her husband Rick are a very great family. They just got back in July with their little boy John Paul who has Down Syndrome. Then, though financially tough they are doing a second adoption of a little girl named Dasha. They had all the money they needed to complete their adoption of sweet Dasha, or thought they did. They were given incorrect information and therefore, are in a foreign country $2,000.00 short to complete their adoption. They do not have the funds to complete this adoption and need help. If you can donate ANYTHING at all to help them it will be much appreciated. Kristy is one of the most loving, generous people I know and I know that if someone else was in this position, she would step up to help them. Her blog is www.newboldfamilyadoption.blogspot.com

Even if you can only give $5.00 it will bring them $5.00 closer to bringing Dasha home!!

If you are unable to help financially, please keep this great family in your prayers

Presents Delivered

I took the presents to the family yesterday morning (did it a little early) The kids LOVED their stockings and gifts in the stockings Missy!! Mom went ahead and gave them to them since, well it is not every day that someone comes over with gifts. I wrapped the outfits for the little girl so that she will have more to open on Christmas morning. Mom was eternally grateful and had tears in her eyes when she saw what had been sent to her children and given to them from people who do not even know them. She had tears in her eyes and just said that everyone who gave were Angels. I have not told her about the rent help that I am trying to get, I don't have an exact amount so towards the end of the month I will present her with a money order for any I can raise. I told mom that we were able to come up with all the gifts that she told me about and extras that were sent in a very large box! She admitted that she didn't know what she was going to do about gifts for her kids this Christmas. She said that all involved were a direct answer from God that she had been praying for! Thanks again to everyone!!!!!!!! She is going to get the kids to write up thank you notes, will try to scan them in. Never scanned anything but I guess it can't be that hard? Missy, she said that she is going to use the stockings over and over every year because the kids didn't have a stocking before!! MOM was especially excited to see the wonderful stockings!
